Questions and Answers

Is it wheelchair accessible
There are three steps to get in the front entrance. Im not sure if theres another entrance that might be wheelchair accessible.
Does all their chicken comes with pepper? Friends say it is heavy with pepper.
You can definitely see and taste the pepper but it is not overwhelming. They dont cook it until you order so I would imagine you could ask for less pepper. I really like it and I am not a spicy food eater.

My wife and I drove two hours round trip to get there because they are supposed to have good fried chicken. Worst meal that Ive had in a long time. Way too much pepper on the chicken plus it was dried out. Mashed potatoes barely warm, beans cold and had no flavor.

Well worth the detour. On way from Cincinnati to Wisconsin, stopped for gas and looked for local place. Did not disappoint. Fried chicken was excellent. Coleslaw delicious. Didnt take much arm twisting for dessert, Blackberry Cobbler. And it was so good!

The chicken, green beans and coleslaw were great but they should be ashamed to call their potatoes mashed . Clumpy, pasty left over baked potatoes that were simply awful. 5 stars if you make mashed potatoes with butter and milk.

A very good example of Indiana fried chicken. One of few that actually still pan fry their chicken so be patient it will take a while. In the mean time enjoy some nice cold draft beer and delicious appetizers. Food

Took nearly an hour to get the food. I had fish and it was burnt to a crisp on the outside and all dried out on the inside. Couldn t eat it. Save your money and don t get fish!!!

We decided to make a day trip during spring break and check this place out after all the hype over the Michelin star they recently received. The fried chicken was very tasty but a little steep at $17 a person in our opinion. It came with a couple sides (mashed potatoes and coleslaw) which were good also. We were definitely a little apprehensive walking in as the restaurant itself is a bit run down and in need of some TLC. We didn t expect a lot from a small town eatery but still. All in all it was a fun experience and nice day trip for our family.

Had the 1/2 chicken, fries and cole slaw. My fiance had chicken livers and slaw. The only complaint is that they didnt have any white gravy for the chicken livers. Chicken was great!

For $18 per person I thought it was a bit pricey at first, but the food is served family style and we had enough leftover chicken for two more meals! The fried chicken was unequaled, the chicken gravy is nothing short of phenomenal, and they have Warsteiner Dunkel on draft! What more do you want??

Chicken was great. Not greasy at all and not too much pepper. Sides were also good. Waitress acted like she had no desire to be there.
